Ladies Day 2017

Mission

To cultivate our relationship with God and build authentic relationships with one another.

Spiritual Growth

Romans 12:1-2: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

As daughters of God we are called to obey God’s word and to be living sacrifices. We can only do this when we stop to reflect on our lives, meditate on the word individually and communally, and pray that our Father examines our hearts.

Fellowship

Ecclesiastes 4:12: “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

As members of the body, we need each other for strength, encouragement and love. To provide these things we need to get to know one another and spend time together regularly.

Mentor

Titus 2:3-4: “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live…to teach what is good. Then they can admonish the younger women…”

There can be a disconnect between older and younger generations, and we are all bombarded by culture and peers, no matter our age, on what it means to be a woman. We are responsible first for being an example to the women and/or girls younger than us, and then for mentoring them on what it means to follow Christ.
