Guiding Scripture:

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12

Mission

Connect

We are all a part of God’s family, but it’s important to build close and long-lasting relationships within the church. Especially for new Christians, it can be intimidating to find where they fit in and become an active member. We want to bring those between the ages of 18-24 together to meet and get to know one another better.

“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” -Proverbs 18:24

Grow

Romans 12:2 says: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

In order to mature spiritually, we have to continuously study God’s word and gain understanding through discussion. As we grow older we face new challenges and circumstances in life that test our faith, so we need to develop a relationship with God that can withstand adulthood.

Serve

Faith expresses itself through love. We need to take action in our church, community, and beyond by seeking opportunities to help. Whether it be mentoring younger kids or volunteering for those in need, we are called to be involved.

“Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” -James 2:15-17
